CCS has two volunteer opportunities, tutoring and mentoring. Please read the job descriptions below and check the box next to the one that you are most interested in: Mentor Job Description: Mentors will participate in an intensive 10 hour training facilitated by CCS. The training will prepare mentors to work one-on-one with an adolescent, helping them to develop life skills and set goals for the future. Mentors are expected to meet with their mentees 1-2 hours a week or at minimum check-in with them on a weekly basis. Tutor Job Description: Tutors meet with students once a week to provide help with one or more academic subjects, and/or test preparation. It is important for tutors to be able to commit to 1½ hours at the same time each week. Tutors are expected to attend an orientation session at CCS. Tutoring typically takes place on Tuesdays* and Thursdays from 5:30-7:00 pm. Which day of the week would work better for you: Tuesday or Thursday
